What is an Electronic Cigarette?

An electronic cigarette is an alternative to smoking a traditional tobacco cigarette. The product itself was originally designed to look like a cigarette with the ability to deliver nicotine without the consumer having to physically inhale smoke. When you burn a traditional tobacco based cigarette, you ignite and inhale over 4000 chemicals. With the advancement of technology and the desire for style, many e-cigarettes no longer resemble the traditional cigarette.

How it is made up?

Electronic cigarettes are made up of three basic components; a cartridge, an atomizer and a battery. The cartridge is the part of the e-cigarette is the part of the device that typically contains the e-liquid (nicotine fluid). The atomizer is the functional part of the e-cigarette. It consists simply of a device that heats the e-liquid to a temperature that makes the components transform into an inhalable vapour. These vary from e-cigarette to e-cigarette but this basic heating function remains the same. The battery for an e-cigarette is required to have a higher voltage than the standard 1.5 volt household battery. E-cigarettes need to be run on a lithium ion battery with a voltage of 3.7 volts. The lithium ion battery comes as rechargeable, disposable, automatic or manually operated.

What is E-Liquid?

Electronic cigarette fluid, otherwise known as e-liquid, is the liquid that is placed into the e-cigarette cartridge and is the part that creates the ‘vape’. It is a very simple solution containing the following ingredients:

Nicotine: The addictive, stimulant in cigarettes is nicotine. In an e-cigarette there are typically two strengths available, 54mg/ml and 72mg/ml in Platinum and Titanium Ice fluids. These Ice fluids are available with either a propylene glycol base or a vegetable glycerine base and are also available in two volumes, either 50ml and 100ml.

Flavourings: Nicotine actually has no discernible taste by itself, so without the added chemicals given off by burning the tobacco leaf, flavourings need to be added. You have the option to keep your e-cigarette traditional tasting or you can experiment with a wide range of flavours, for example strawberry or mint.

Diluent: The diluent within an e-liquid capsule performs two functions, firstly it is added to dilute the flavouring and nicotine content to the correct strength, and secondly it accompanies the part of the solution that produces the vapour that carries the flavour and nicotine to the user. Common diluents that feature in all e-cigarettes are:
Propylene GLYCOL (PG) is the ingredient that gives that typical scratch in the back of the throat sensation. Pre-mixed e-liquids contain a mixture of 80% Propylene Glycol and 20% Glycerine.

Vegetable Glycerine (VG) is the substance that assists the vapour process, creating a denser vapour mist and adds sweetness to the ‘vape’ also. Pre-mixed e-liquids contain a mixture of 80% Propylene Glycol and 20% Glycerine.

Aqueous Glycerine (AG) is high quality pharmaceutical grade and is diluted with de-ionised water to maintain the same viscosity as Propylene Glycol.

What Strength of E-Liquid should I choose?

Personal tastes vary so choosing the right strength for you is important. In general, we recommend that someone used to smoking 20 regular strength tobacco based cigarettes a day should try the 18mg strength e-liquid and someone used to smoking 30-40 normal cigarettes a day should start off with the 24mg. If you prefer to smoke menthol cigarettes it may be an idea to stick to what you know and opt for mint flavoured e-liquid.

How long it last?

A cartridge normally equals to 10-12 cigarettes.

How safe it is?

Unlike traditional cigarette we don’t have tar or any other 4000 harmful goods found in tobacco cigarettes. There is no burning process in electronic cigarette only vaporization of E-Liquid,  however it does contain nicotine(addictive), so we only sell these products to people over age 18 who better have smoking history.

Does ONLY have medical function for quit smoking?

ONLY electronic cigarette is not a smoking cessation product and it does contain nicotine.
